At Whitesell farms in Gibsonville, NC right outside of Greensboro. They offer a different kind of wine. Blackberry wine. My "great" aunt (and I mean that in more ways than one!) has recently been fighting the battle with cancer. She has always been dear to me. I love to go over to her house for the great food, good times and beautiful scenery. While she may seem weak to some now, I see her strong as ever, in spirit. For now, I can only hope and pray that my "great" aunt will recover.

Yesterday I had an awesome shoot with a New York and Los Angelos represented model. Lily Sophia was awesome to work with and I would recommend her to everyone! At first we were expecting a lot of rain but the weather ended up changing up on us. We hiked almost 8 miles through the woods finding various locations and stopping every 5 mins to shoot. After it was all said done we got soooo many great shots. Here are just a few below.

Ever since photographer, Rick Smith, came to school and shared his book, Vanishing Icons, with us, I have been inspired to shoot landscape images with him in mind. I really like his color scheme and the focus he puts on his subjects. After riding around for many many hours one day and some hours the next, I finally stumbled upon the following barns, luckily at sunset. I took advantage of some awesome school equipment and used tilt/shift effects on these.

We had to chose our own subject for it and present it to the teachers which either approved our proposal or denied it. Recent School Assignments

In the last few weeks we have had our first both digital and color assignments. While it has been a big change i have thoroughly enjoyed shooting as well as critiquing them....

Our Most recent assignment was complimentary colors such as red and cyan, green and magenta, and yellow with blue. The following three are the ones that I chose for critique..

Our Second Color assignment dealt with analogous colors, colors that sit beside each other on the color wheel..

Our first color digital assignment was monochrome... where we had to find a picture with just one color in it. This proved difficult as exploration was a huge key to the success...

This past weekend me and my girlfriend jessica rode out to my home of Warrenton, NC for a drumline/ band competition. We both are photography students at RCC and enjoyed shooting this as well as watching it. I believe there were many different emotions expressed including fear anger and excitement.

When you photograph a landscape, you cant capture emotion, that little thing that makes a world of difference when photographing people. These are some examples of my recent work with people.. At first i did not enjoy photographing people at all but now it has definitely grown upon me. Although some are posed, I much prefer to capture candid moments, by far. Comments are always welcome as i am always looking to get better. Thanks for looking!

The following pictures are from when i started photography. I started at the age of fourteen with no prior experience except throw away walmart cameras. My grandfather started me off by giving my first point and shoot camera. I'm so glad he did that because I haven't stopped loving it... at all. The following pictures are from that camera and for some reason I loved them so much back them and they kept my interest enough to start me on my way.
